Professor Christopher Porter
Professor Christopher Porter is a Sir John Monash Distinguished Professor whose pioneering work has transformed how challenging medicines are designed and delivered. Professor Porter co-developed the Glyph™ platform – a breakthrough drug delivery technology that improves the oral bioavailability and tolerability of neuropsychiatric medicines. Glyph™ has been commercialised through partnerships in the Boston biotech ecosystem and underpins the formation of Seaport Therapeutics, a Boston-based clinical-stage biotechnology company advancing next-generation antidepressant and anxiolytic therapies.
Professor Stephen Nicholls
Professor Stephen Nicholls is Director of the Victorian Heart Institute and the Victorian Heart Hospital, where he leads internationally recognised cardiovascular research integrated with large-scale clinical translation. He has led large-scale international clinical trials that have directly informed global treatment guidelines and accelerated the development of new cardiovascular medicines. Through deep collaboration with pharmaceutical and biotech partners, Professor Nicholls’ work exemplifies Monash’s model of global clinical engagement and therapeutic commercialisation.
