Planning your journey to campus
There are many ways to travel to our campuses. We encourage you to try walking or cycling, and to mix up your commute throughout the semester by trying public transport and active transport options.
Clayton campus
Public transport
Huntingdale train station is 10 minutes by bus to the Clayton campus – take routes 601, 630 or 900. There are also eleven buses which service the campus from all directions. Find more information here.
Cycling
Clayton has two Bike Arrival Stations with bike parking facilities, showers, lockers, and bike repair tools. There are also over 1000 bike hoops on campus, so you can park close to your destination. Find route suggestions, groups to join, and apply for access to the bike arrival stations here.

Carpooling is a great way to share the costs of your parking and to reduce vehicle emissions. Find more information here.
Parking
Students | Can park in any Blue permit zone all day, or the Red permit zone after 10:30am, using the corresponding code in the CellOPark app. |
Staff | Can park in the Blue or Red permit zones all day using the corresponding code in the CellOPark app, or by purchasing a 28-day virtual permit. |
Visitors | Metered parking bays are available in the N1, SE1 and SE3 car parks. Pay by card using the pay-by-plate machines on campus, or using the corresponding Clayton Visitor codes in the CellOPark app. |

Caulfield campus
Public transport
Caulfield train station is next to the Caulfield campus. The number 3 tram, 624 bus or 900 bus also stop at Caulfield. Find more information here.
Cycling
Caulfield has a bike cage to securely park your bike in, located on level 1 (ground) of the multi-level car park. Find route suggestions, groups to join, and apply for access to the bike cage here.

Peninsula campus
Public transport
From Frankston train station, you can catch a Stony Point train to Leawarra, or take the 775, 776, 782, 783 or 887 buses to the Peninsula campus. Find more information here.

There is secure bike parking at the MPARC Velopod, and bike hoops across campus where you can park close to your destination. Find bike parking information, route suggestions and groups to join here.

Parkville campus
Public transport
Tram number 19 stops opposite Parkville campus on Royal Parade, and can connect you to trains at Melbourne Central Station. Bus route 505 and Royal Park train station are also short walks from campus. Find more information here.

Parking
Students and Visitors | Can park in the metered bays in the building 407 car park using the Parkville Visitor code in the CellOPark app. Students should include their Monash ID in their account to get the cheapest parking rates. |
Staff | Can park in the Red permit zone bays in the 404 car park, using the corresponding code in the CellOPark app, or after purchasing a 30-day virtual permit. |
Accessible parking | Disability permit parking bays are available in the building 404 car park. |
Intercampus travel
Public transport

Intercampus shuttle buses
The intercampus shuttle buses are free for staff and students to use, and are a great option for travelling between Caulfield, Clayton, and Peninsula. Find out more here.
Carshare
GoGet and Flexicar vehicles are available at the Clayton, Caulfield and Parkville campuses, and can be hired by staff and students for work or personal trips. Find out more here.
Pool vehicles (staff only)
University pool vehicles are located at Clayton, Caulfield, Peninsula, and 211 Wellington Road. These can be hired by staff for work trips, and charged to a cost centre and fund. Find out more here.
Yellow permits (staff only)
Staff who use their own vehicle to travel between campuses for work can request a temporary Yellow Scratch Permit, to charge the cost of their parking to a cost centre and fund. These are administered by departments. Find out more here.
