Monash Centre for Consciousness and Contemplative Studies (M3CS)
The M3CS was established in 2021 following a generous philanthropic grant of $12 million from the Three Springs Foundation. Through this funding, M3CS conducts research across humanities, psychology, medicine and neuroscience with an aim to consciously connect us with others and the environment.
Turner Institute for Brain and Mental Health
The David Winston Turner Fund initially donated $5.25 million to establish the Turner Institute for Brain and Mental Health. Since then, the Institute has received a total of $43 million from the Fund which has enabled the development of community-driven brain and mental health research, treatment and technological innovations.
Fire to Flourish
Communities are too often left out of disaster and reconstruction efforts, entrenching cycles of disadvantage. Fire to Flourish is supporting bushfire-affected Australian communities to lead their own recovery and disrupt these cycles of disadvantage. Working in partnership with four communities across Victoria and New South Wales, the program harnesses the power of local leadership and lived experience.
Revitalising Informal Settlements and their Environments (RISE)
One in four people globally lack access to safe drinking water in their homes. RISE is an ambitious research program working at the intersections of health, environment, water and sanitation. Funded by The Wellcome Trust, Asian Development Bank and New Zealand Government, RISE is trialling innovative and sustainable water and sanitation solutions in 24 informal settlements in Fiji and Indonesia.
Climateworks
Climateworks Centre is a non-profit organisation focused on achieving net zero emissions in Australia, Southeast Asia and the Pacific through a group of specialists in net zero analysis and advice. Climateworks was established in partnership with the Myer Foundation, one of Australia’s major philanthropic organisations, and works with international networks to support policy-making, financing and actions for emissions reductions.
