Monash University’s commitment to advancing Indigenous education and engagement in Australia stretches back 50 years, with the opening of the first dedicated Indigenous Centre at an Australian university.

Since then, the University’s pioneering Indigenous programs, pathways, and engagement have seen bespoke initiatives such as the Growing Indigenous Graduates program affect positive change.

Monash University is passionate about providing students with rich experiences that build their skills and industry connections, and set them up for success in their future careers.

On Friday 25 August, we had the pleasure of welcoming guests to the Matheson Library for a tour of the Treasures of the Monash Library, hosted by Special Collections curator Dr Anne Holloway. The exhibition spans 930 years, from 1050–1980 and features many historically significant books including antique cookbooks, medical writings and children’s books.
