Biology Bridging Course
Do you want to study BIO1011, but didn’t take VCE biology?
Has it been some time since you completed VCE?
Get a head start on your biology studies by completing this bridging course!
This course is designed for people who have not completed VCE Biology, or who need to brush up on their biology knowledge before undertaking first year biology at Monash. It covers some of the major concepts in VCE Biology units 3 & 4 and provides an excellent starting point for university level studies in biology.
This course runs over 5 days (Monday to Friday), and students have a choice of two delivery modes:
The hybrid mode delivers the majority of the course content online, but students also register a day to come to Clayton campus, where they will meet the teaching staff in person, attend a workshop face-to-face and undertake other on campus activities, including a campus tour and lab introductory session in the First Year Biology laboratory.
The fully online mode delivers all of the course content online, including the lab session live-streamed by the First Year teaching staff. This is the perfect choice for students who are unable to travel to campus during the dates this course is offered.
Both modes deliver the same content, and offer daily livestreamed classes - great opportunities to meet, interact, and learn with staff and other students in real time.
The course runs from 14th-18th February 2022. Registration closes Friday 11th February 2022. Registration is essential so book now to secure your place!*
*Please note that you must be officially enrolled as a student in BIO1011 in order to enrol in this course. Students select their mode of enrolment at the time of registration.
