Shuttle bus

The intercampus shuttle service is expected to be busy during peak periods of semester.

Please see available public transport options to travel between campuses and ensure you scan your ID or digital M-Pass when using the shuttle bus, so we can keep track of usage.

Monash students and staff can use the free shuttle buses to travel between campuses by scanning their M-Pass ID upon boarding.

Scanning in

Passengers are required to scan their M-Pass ID or JMSS student ID when boarding the bus. Click here to order an M-Pass or replace a lost card.

The card scans will be collecting data on utilisation and demand for the shuttle bus services, to aid in determining timetables and service provision. This data is analysed in a de-identified form, and your personal travel patterns will not be tracked, in accordance with data protection and privacy collection statements.

Shuttle bus stop locations

Clayton: At the Bus Interchange, Bay O (buses to Caulfield) and Bay P (buses to Peninsula)
Caulfield: On Princes Highway, outside Building H
Peninsula: Outside the George Jenkins Theatre
Frankston Station: On Fletcher Road in front of the Frankston Station, opposite the intersection with Oates Street

Accessing Monash Campuses via Public Transport

Public transport is an alternative when shuttle bus services are busy, especially during peak periods at the start of the semester.

Students and staff can reach all Monash campuses using Melbourne's train, tram and bus network. For full details on the route and connections, visit the Monash Public Transport page.

Conditions of use

  • The shuttle bus services are free to use.
  • Staff and students must be able to produce their M-Pass ID to be scanned when boarding the bus
  • Carrying or consuming food or hot beverages in the buses is not permitted
  • There are a limited number of seats; seats are allocated on a “first-come, first-served” basis.
  • Children under four are welcome on the buses if travelling with a Monash student or staff member.
