School Swimming Program

Swimming and understanding safety in and around the water are essential life skills that all children should have the opportunity to learn. Monash Sport provides this opportunity to Schools through the School Learn to Swim and Water Safety Program. The Doug Ellis Swimming Pool at Monash University specialises in swimming lessons for primary and secondary school groups. Our 2 indoor heated pools, one with adjustable depth and our leisure pool allow us to provide a custom-made teaching environment ideal for school children.

By learning to swim competently, students develop skills that can be used for fun, fitness, rehabilitation or as a competitive sport. Using a holistic approach, students will learn a discipline that may save a life – potentially their own.
