Elite Student Athlete and Performer Entry Scheme
Elite Student Athlete and Performer Entry Scheme
Monash is committed to helping students combine academic success with sporting or performing arts success. We understand that your ATAR or WAM may not fully reflect your potential due to the significant time and dedication required to perform at an elite level.
If you're an elite athlete or performer, you may be eligible for the Elite Student Performer Entry Scheme, which recognises your unique circumstances and achievements.
Applications

Applications for 2027 entry are now open and close on Friday, October 16, 2026. Please follow the steps below to apply.
Step 1: Apply for courses with VTAC
First, set up your VTAC account. Ensure you choose your Monash University undergraduate degree preferences and apply with VTAC by the due date(s). We also encourage students to apply for the Special Entry Access Scheme, as you may be eligible for recognition of other factors based on your personal information and location.
Step 2: Submit an online application to Monash
You can now apply online to Monash University for the Elite Student Performer Entry Scheme, here.
Please note, the form is most user-friendly when completed on a laptop or desktop device, rather than a mobile device.
Applicants are required to submit the following supporting documentation as part of their application:
- A sporting resume - summarising achievements and experiences over 12–18 months. We encourage applicants to use this template.
- A completed copy of this Impact Matrix template - it shows your time commitment to your discipline.
- A reference letter from your sporting body or association confirming your level of elite involvement and your ongoing sport commitments.
- Relevant documents authenticating level of sporting achievement e.g. evidence of team selection, national or state rankings etc.
- High-resolution sport photo (action shot preferred).
You will receive an email receipt for your application; however, you will not be notified of the outcome of your application.
Step 3: Be assessed
Applications will be assessed by a committee against the criteria. Students will be considered for 0 to 10 additional ATAR points. Please note, students will not be notified of the outcome.
Step 4: Wait for offers
If your application is successful, 1 to 10 points will be added to your ATAR, and you will be assessed for course entry based on your VTAC application. If eligible, you will receive a conditional offer for the upcoming 2026 Semester 1 intake. The offer will include instructions on how to accept.
Step 5: If successful - ongoing support and obligations
Successful applicants will be contacted with information on how to be fast-tracked into the Monash University Elite Student Performer Support Program.
Conditions:
Academic performance: On an annual basis, students must maintain their performance discipline level, meet academic requirements, represent the University when available, act as an ambassador for the University, and adhere to all University policies and procedures. Failure to do so may put your status in the Scheme at risk.
