Heming started playing table tennis in the garage with his family when he was just six years old, joining his local club in Greater Dandenong soon after. Hu’s first international competition was in Madrid, Spain in 2008, and from there Heming partook in the 2014 and 2018 Commonwealth Games as well as the 2016 Rio Olympics and 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
