Marissa - a proud Ngarrindjeri woman, Olympic Boxer, and Monash student currently pursuing a Bachelor of Laws and International Relations. Marissa made history as the first Aboriginal woman to qualify for the Australian Olympic boxing team, representing Australia at the Paris 2024 Olympics. As a student part of Monash’s Elite Student Performer Support (ESPS) program, Marissa receives support to help her balance the demands of her boxing career and university study.
