My work is a visual exploration of the fragmentation of logic and perception on a visual level. I use the genres of installation and sound to explore the psyche that looks for underlying meaning or order. For instance, the objects and paintings in my work express the dissonance in perception. The irregular custom-made plinth upholds the paintings like pieces of a puzzle, fragmented and holding the potential to fit together. The sounds in my work are a compilation of noises and instruments that are dissonant and contingent. By using familiar sound recordings and compiling them together, I hope to highlight the dissonances in perception.
