Fish Lane aims to raise awareness for the increasing need to cultivate food in dense urban spaces to feed the growing city and provide new knowledge on how sustainable food production can be achieved, without sacrificing the planet and the non-human. The whole food production from harvest to consumption is made visible for the public to see, feel, and taste intended to re-establish the lost connection to our food system and embed the solution to a broken food system into the fabric of society. In addition, social learning and life training skills are implemented to increase the post-stocking survival of the declining silver perch species.
