Lauren Huggins’ abstract works are informed by the internal body and its different forms of representation. Exploring cadavered, organ-like forms with a romanticised lens, each piece acts as a window spilling into a larger space. With a focus on oil paint and its ability to blend vivid colours and glisten, the works are placed on canvas and wooden boards to emphasise the variation of softness in the brush strokes.
