Sarah is an Industrial Design student specialising in Automotive Design. Sarah already has two years of industry experience; this year she is doing her second internship with GM Australia in the Interior Design department while she completes her studies, and last year she interned in Colour & Trim. Sarah’s honours project is the Sylph, an electromagnetic-levitating luxury vehicle hired by tourists to explore a nearby alien planet and experience driving in the future of autonomy.
In the distant future, mankind has colonised the stars in an effort to expand beyond the weary, run-down planet of Earth.
A nearby planet with incredible untouched landscape is the location for a famous race of electromagnetic levitating vehicles, consisting of various stages over several days and thousands of kilometres.
In the off-season, fans visit from Earth, hiring the vehicles to experience the alien planet and the thrill of the race. The Sylph is one of these vehicles.
