This project presents a program for the Australian Defence Force that de-stigmatises mental health, specifically Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The program is a three stage spatial intervention program that aims to de-stigmatise mental health at the different scales of individual, family and military, and the wider community.
The program creates new data about physical and psychological reactions to deployment experiences through collecting data from each service member whilst they are deployed. This data is then analysed to identify any occurrences during the deployment where the individual experienced a traumatic event that could lead to PTSD.
