Additional enrolment tasks
Students who have a placement/s as part of their course are required to meet additional enrolment task requirements prior to undertaking the placement. Your school/department will advise you of these requirement during the enrolment process.
Working with Children Check (Valid for five years)
Students who require a Working with Children Check can apply online. Once the card has been issued, please take it to your school/department administration office for sighting. The card needs to be taken to all placement and presented to the placement venue on request. See further information at on the Working with Children Check page.
Police Check (Valid for one year)
Police Checks are valid for one year and need to be re- issued annually.
Students undertaking clinical placements may need to have immunisations. See immunisation and infection risk or the University Health Service.
Medical and fitness assessments
Students completing the Bachelor of Emergency Health and Paramedic Practice course will need to undergo a medical and fitness assessment.
Biomedical Science students must attend a compulsory transition program that will be conducted on 16 February. Please keep the day free. Further details will be available shortly.
Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine students will need to attend a compulsory Transition and Orientation program. You will be advised of further details during the enrolment process.
First Aid course
It is recommended that Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine students hold or attain by the end of first semester, a current registered Level 2 or Senior First Aid Certificate.
Students completing the Bachelor of Radiography and Medical Imaging (Honours) course are to complete a Level 1 First Aid Certificate and provide certified copies to the School of Biomedical Sciences.
Master of Radiation Therapy students are required to undertake a Level 2 First Aid course (code HLTAID003) prior to undertaking their clinical placement.
