At the Centre for Human Anatomy Education, our research expertise covers the full spectrum of anatomy - from the role of diet in human evolution, to 3D anatomical printing, to virtual reality in anatomy education. Our breadth of knowledge, access to state-of-the-art technology and research platforms, and industry partnerships enables us to undertake innovative anatomy research.
Whether you want to research with us, or partner with us to accelerate our discoveries, we’d love to hear from you.
Our research strengths
We have globally-recognised research expertise across anatomy and anatomy education, including the areas of:
- Clinical anatomy
- Comparative and evolutionary anatomy
- Imaging anatomy
- Topographical anatomy
Our researchers are also highly skilled in:
- Clinical education
Explore the incredible anatomy research taking place within our laboratories and research groups, including our partnerships and latest publications:
The Adams Integrated Morphology and Palaeontology Laboratory brings together comparative methods and advanced 3D imaging resources to the study of living and fossil mammal anatomy.
The Fiorenza Palaeodiet Research Laboratory investigates important biological questions related to humans in an evolutionary context and it applies cutting-edge digital approaches to study the anatomical variability in human and non-human primates.
The Massey Morphology, Ontogeny, and Evolution Laboratory focuses on primate skeletal variation and evolution by using geometric morphometric statistical techniques.
The Lazarus Research Group focuses on improving science and medical coursework to better prepare students for their future careers in the biomedical sciences and healthcare.
The Panagiotopoulou Laboratory is interested in the mechanical, developmental and physiological determinants of the vertebrate musculoskeletal system from clinical and basic science perspectives.
