Anatomy demonstrators

Are you a junior doctor looking for professional teaching opportunities?

We are looking for anatomy demonstrators to complement our teaching team.  Improve your anatomy knowledge, surgical skills and gain valuable teaching experience that can help you stand out when applying for surgical education and training programs. These sessional positions give you the opportunity to teach clinical anatomy in our brand new anatomy facility, located at Monash's Clayton campus.

Our demonstrators play an important role in improving our students' experience and outcomes, and you'll be helping train the next generation of doctors, biomedical scientists and allied health professionals. Teaching takes place during typical working hours, and you can choose to teach in one semester or across both.

We have a robust training program that supports your growth and teaching skills.  In addition to teaching, you will gain access to research opportunities across a range of areas within our Centre.

Hear from our demonstrators

"This role has been a wonderful opportunity to develop my teaching skills and refine my anatomy knowledge through a clinical lens. The CHAE employ extensive evidence-based teaching methodologies, which makes teaching the students a positively impactful experience as they grow and gain knowledge through leaps and bounds. Additionally, working alongside of, and making new friendships with, the other demonstrators has been a particular highlight." - Alexandra Malanina

"I have thoroughly enjoyed working for the CHAE at Monash. This role has provided me with the opportunity to improve my teaching skills and interact with a broad range of highly motivated and determined students. Most importantly, I have had the pleasure of working alongside a number of friendly doctors, academics and centre staff with a common passion for anatomy. I would highly recommend this role to anyone interested in gaining teaching experience." - Melissa Bognis
