Student support services
Our Student Academic Support Unit
The Student Academic Support Unit (SASU) provides teaching and support programs on campus and in clinical settings to help undergraduate students develop professional communication skills and academic skills that they will need in pursuing their study and training.
SASU's classes include academic writing, clinical communication skills, communication for assessment tasks such as OSCEs and case presentations, as well as organisational and study skills.
SASU advisors are also available for individual consultation on academic issues, and may also refer students for assistance in coping with challenges in their personal lives, if this is a contributing factor to their academic problems.
Our scholarships
As well as offering scholarships to students purely on the basis of academic merit, numerous scholarships are available to new and continuing students in the Faculty who experience financial need.
These scholarships recognise the importance of supporting our brightest students and assisting them to enter the workforce.
