TSHS Workshop series

What are the workshops

The Consortium is hosting a series of workshops from July to October 2024.

The workshop series will bring together representatives from our member organisations, additional expert participants and speakers, and will focus on different aspects of health system sustainability:

  • Energy, facilities and transport
  • Green procurement and material waste
  • Prevention and models of care
  • Synthesis and enablers.

Aims of the workshops

  • Share knowledge and experience in what has worked (and what hasn’t) in implementing emissions reduction initiatives
  • Explore leading practice and innovation
  • Explore what would enable emissions reduction in the Australian health system while also supporting broader sustainability goals
  • Begin to identify and prioritise actions that could accelerate emissions reduction for organisations, and across the health system.

Along with additional case studies, synthesis of existing evidence and best practice guidance, these workshops will inform a co-developed guide to accelerating emissions reduction in the Australian health system and help the Consortium identify opportunities for future collaboration.
