Inclusive theory development: Incorporating perspectives of adults with a learning disability and other stakeholders into realist reviews

Liz is an experienced health services researcher and uses participatory qualitative and realist approaches, predominantly with adults with a learning disability. Since 2020 her focus has shifted towards social care, and she is joint lead for the Sheffield School for Social Care Research. She is PI on a national project aiming to improve access to flexible social care support planning for adults with a learning disability. This project is using a novel participatory realist approach to explore the use of individual service funds to fund social care support.
