Master of Advanced Nursing

After spending a significant amount of time in a hospital setting following the premature birth of her first child, Leanne Czerniecki decided to make the dramatic career change from corporate life to nursing, with a desire to work with children.

Having previously completed an Arts/Law degree at Monash, Leanne chose to return to campus to complete her undergraduate nursing qualification.

As a qualified nurse she went on to work in paediatrics at the Monash Medical Centre. After completing specialist studies in paediatrics and working in a number of clinical and educator roles, Leanne is now completing the Master of Advanced Nursing, with a nurse practitioner specialisation as “it’s crucial you stay abreast of best practice and key research being conducted in your field.” She hopes to ultimately become a nurse practitioner and continue learning to be able to provide best patient care and education to patients and their families about their conditions.
