Master of Addictive Behaviours
The Master of Addictive Behaviours has been such an engaging and thought-provoking course, and covers a broad range of exciting topics delivered by highly qualified professionals from all over the world. My fellow students have been great in respecting various opinions and the subject coordinators have been very supportive and prompt in their responses to our queries. I’ve also enjoyed the flexibility and discipline that comes with online study and feel that I belong to a community that respects others’ perspectives despite differences in views.
I’m already reaping the rewards for having chosen this course. Within a short period of time, I’ve scaled the career ladder way beyond my imagination - from working as a Mental Health Graduate Nurse in 2014, I progressed to Non Residential Withdrawal Nurse, Team Leader and then to my current Acting Treatment Service Manager role. With the possibility of securing this role on a permanent basis, it seems like the sky is the limit for me right now.
The knowledge I have gained has been useful in informing my clinical practice, but also in critically analysing and monitoring staff’s clinical practises and performances. I am now a well-informed leader in terms of clinical practice as a result of this course.
