Health and Safety Representative (HSR) vacancies
If there are vacancies in a DWG (e.g. a current HSR resigns or three years have passed since a role was assigned and it is time for re-election), any member of the DWG can complete the HSR and Deputy HSR Vacancy form to start the nomination process for a new HSR.
Submitting the form does not immediately fill the vacancy, it just initiates the call for nominations and allows for other members of the DWG to nominate for the role.
Once the form is submitted, the HSW Returning Officer will inform DWG members about the vacancy and call for nominations. If the number of nominations received exceeds the available positions, the HSW Returning Officer will coordinate an election to determine the successful candidate(s).
