Safety first

Safety first – preventing slips, trips and falls

At Monash University, safety is our top priority. Slips, trips, and falls are among the most common causes of injury across our campuses – and the good news is that most are preventable.

Our new safety campaign raises awareness and encourages simple, everyday actions that help keep everyone safe. The campaign arrives at the perfect time: as we move into winter, wetter weather, darker days and reduced visibility can increase the risk of slips, trips and falls.

Whether you’re a student, staff member or contractor, the message is simple: See a hazard? Report it.

Reporting a hazard takes minutes. Recovery from an incident could take months.
