Information for staff
If you’re a staff member working at Melbourne City campus, you’ll need to know some basic HSW information to make sure you stay safe while on site.
Your local HSW team will be your main point of contact for everything you need to know – but here’s some information to get you started.

For Monash staff whose usual workplace is Melbourne City campus.
Induction and training
You'll need to:
- complete a staff HSW induction
- watch the 750 Collins Safety Induction training video
- read the 750 Collins HSW Induction information sheet
- complete a local area induction.

For Monash staff whose usual working location is elsewhere and are working at Monash City campus for some duration (e.g. day, semester, etc).

Getting help
Monash Security personnel are on site 24/7 and manage evacuations after hours (Monday to Friday from 5pm to 8am, and all day Saturday and Sunday).
If you need help, you can speak with Monash Security using a yellow Emergency Help Point on campus. You also can call Monash Security on 333 (or 9905 5333 if you’re on a mobile).
