Audits, inspections and monitoring
The Health Safety and Wellbeing team conducts occupational health and safety audits, inspections and monitoring of Monash University-related activities to ensure health and safety risks are maintained at an acceptable level (in line with principles of the OHS Management System).
Monash University's Australian campuses are certified to the AS/NZS ISO 45001:2018 - Occupational health and safety management systems standard.
We review our policy commitments and objectives every two years and report outcomes to the Monash University OHS Committee to ensure our systems remain effective.

If you’re responsible for managing a work area, you’ll need to ensure workplace inspections and spot checks are conducted to identify hazards, verify legislative compliance and implement appropriate actions to mitigate risk.
When you complete a workplace inspection, don’t forget to record your findings and actions in SARAH.
