Prof Kate Loveland and Dr Sarah Moody elected to important new roles in the American Society of Andrology

Congratulations to Prof Kate Loveland and Dr Sarah Moody on their recent American Society of Andrology (ASA) appointments.

In February 2022 the ASA announced that Prof Kate Loveland has been elected Vice President (May 2022-Spring 2023) and President-Elect (2023-2024). Prof Loveland has held several roles within ASA that include: Chair of the Awards and Basic Science Workshop Committees, Board member, Annual Scientific meeting, co-Chair, President of Women in Andrology, and member of the Nominating Committee.

“For nearly 50 years the ASA is has provided avenues for clinical and fundamental researchers to build productive collaborations and share knowledge relating to men’s reproductive health. The annual meetings have provided key training opportunities for many of my students. I am glad to be able to be contribute to the ongoing success of this important professional Society,” Prof Loveland said.

Prof Loveland is the Head of Postgraduate Studies at School of Clinical Sciences at Monash Health, Head of the Centre for Reproductive Health and Group Head of the Testis Development and Male Germ Cell Biology Lab, Hudson Institute of Medical Research

Dr Sarah Moody, Postdoctoral Scientist in the Testis Development and Male Germ Cell Biology Lab,  has been elected ASA Trainee Representative.

“I am delighted to have been elected to represent the trainee and early career cohort of the American Society of Andrology. I am excited to work with the current and incoming members of council and help continue the society’s wonderful efforts to support trainees in our field", Dr Moody said.

Their terms will begin in May 2022.
