Intensive Care Nurses – recognised with excellence awards
Congratulations to our nine students in our Master of Advanced Clinical Nursing – Intensive care nursing stream nominated for an Australian College of Critical Care Nurses (ACCCN) certificate and professional recognition for the best critical care nurse graduate for the year (2023) and to Giselle Garcia from Alfred Health who was the overall winner for the ACCCN award for Monash University.
The award is offered to one student from every ICU course delivered in Victoria. In consultation with each health service, a student was nominated as their ‘best student’ based on their clinical performance as well as their academic ability.
To celebrate and in recognition of these nominations, Monash Nursing and Midwifery has awarded the nine students with an excellence award, again in recognition of excellence in clinical and academic achievement in intensive care nursing.
Our Intensive care nursing stream is delivered in a collaborative partnership with our industry partners across major metropolitan and regional health service networks.
Taught for over ten years at Monash Nursing and Midwifery, this stream develops highly skilled intensive care nurses. Led by a core team of experts in the field, this program equips nurses with advanced critical thinking and problem solving abilities essential for the safe, quality care of critically ill patients.
