Dr Fiona Best appointed Binational Chair, RANZCP Subcommittee for Advanced Training in Forensic Psychiatry
We are delighted to announce Dr Fiona Best has been appointed Binational Chair, The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) Subcommittee for Advanced Training in Forensic Psychiatry.
The Faculty of Forensic Psychiatry (FFP) is a body of experts that promotes the highest standards in professional practice, training and research pertaining to forensic psychiatry.
"Working as a psychiatrist is a privilege and is a wonderfully fulfilling career. Having come to medicine and psychiatry as a mature age student, I feel a strong commitment to support our psychiatry trainees to reach their full potential" said Dr Best.
Dr Best is the course convenor of the Master of Psychiatry at Monash, a course that is fully accredited and purpose-written to match the RANZCP curriculum for psychiatry training.
The Department of Psychiatry is home to leading mental health researchers – such as Professor David Kissane and Professor Suresh Sundram – at the forefront of translating research into outcomes. Our Department also nurtures early career and emerging psychiatric researchers.
