Our best-performing students of 2023 recognised in the annual Student Awards Ceremony
Monash Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences’ most outstanding 2023 students were celebrated last night at the annual Student Awards Ceremony, held at the Alexander Theatre on the Clayton campus. An opportunity to recognise and celebrate the achievements of many of our highest-performing students in the 2023 academic year, 105 prizes were awarded to 135 students from across the faculty’s range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses across medicine, biomedical science and allied health.
The evening was hosted by Deputy Dean (Education) Professor Claire Palermo, and the guest speaker was award-winning educator Associate Professor Michelle Lazarus, Director of the Centre for Human Anatomy Education and Deputy Director of the Monash Centre for Scholarship in Health Education.
Executive Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences Professor Christina Mitchell said that many recipients will become future leaders in research, healthcare practice, policy formation, health services and academia. “Congratulations to all the prize winners for the 2023 academic year,” she said. “I applaud your dedication and hard work, and I encourage you to keep asking questions in your quest for better health outcomes.”
Monash Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences would also like to recognise the generosity of our many prize donors who make these awards possible.
