Chemwatch

Chemwatch is Monash’s online chemical management system. It gives you access to Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and allows you to create a local chemical register to help track your chemical inventory. This includes all compressed gas cylinders.

You can also generate chemical labels and create and manage custom mixtures.

Training

To learn more about Chemwatch features, we recommend you:

  • complete the Chemwatch SDS and Chemical Register Application training in myDevelopment (once you’re logged into your Monash account in your browser, you can go straight to the Chemwatch training in myDevelopment)
  • access eLearning modules at the top right-hand corner of the Chemwatch interface.

When accessing the system remotely (off-campus), you must be connected to the Monash VPN.

If you have a compliant Australian SDS you’d like to add to Chemwatch, email a pdf copy of the SDS to hsw@monash.edu.
