Why did you decide to do further studies at Monash Science?
Monash has a multi-discipline program that is a really nice balance between real world practical skills and theory. One thing I found frustrating when studying my undergrad in science was the lack of application; the MES not only looks at the science but real world applications and equips you to apply this knowledge in a variety of ways.
In a few lines, tell us about your research/project and how it will impact the world or solve a challenge.
During my MES I attended the United Nations: COP24, being on the global stage taught me the complexity of these international negotiations. My time in Katowice has given me a new understanding of how science and other knowledge can become international policy.
What are your plans after graduation?
I want to work to fight against climate denialism and help create action and understanding of climate change.
What has been the highlight of your Masters/PhD so far?
All the amazing friends I’ve made, the MES cohort is incredible.
If you were to give some advice to someone who's thinking about pursuing a higher degree at Monash Science, what would you say?
I would really recommend it, have a think about what you want to be doing with your research skills because I love that Monash will take all the skills you build in science and also teach you how to apply them to various applications.
