safeTALK – suicide prevention

For anyone who wants to help prevent suicide and contribute to a safer community. The training runs for three and a half hours and aims to make you alert to the signs of suicide.

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA)

This training will teach you how to provide initial support to someone who may be experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis, enabling you to assist until professional help is received or the crisis is resolved. After attending the two-day training and successfully completing the accreditation process (an online quiz), you'll receive a certificate of accreditation that's valid for three years.

Understanding Mental Health training

This training helps participants recognise potential mental health issues, respond supportively, and connect people with appropriate help. The session is facilitated by a Monash counsellor and increases awareness of Monash resources and referral pathways.
