Penalty amounts
The amount payable for a parking infringement will be printed on the notice. This is called the penalty amount, and it will vary depending on the type of offence.
Each penalty amount is determined by penalty units set by the Victorian Government. The value of a penalty unit is reviewed each financial year.
Monash University cannot alter the officially set penalties. Infringement notices must be issued with the penalty amounts specified by the government.
For the 2026/2027 financial year, penalties range from $105 to $209.
The penalty amounts for common parking offences on campus are provided below.
