Heart Foundation continues to support Monash research
The Heart Foundation announced funding for 53 projects worth $13.1 million to investigate the causes, treatment and prevention of heart disease, stroke and related disorders. The Heart Foundation will fund 13 projects at Monash University including a Future Leader Fellowship that will allow a cardiovascular researcher to build their research capacity and become a leader of a research group, a Postdoctoral Fellowship to support an early-career cardiovascular researcher, 9 Vanguard grants to test the feasibility of innovative ideas, a scholarship for a health professional to undertake a PhD and a Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander award.
This announcement further supports Monash University’s position as a leading cardiovascular research institute. Many of the awardees are speakers at Victorian Heart Institute Scientific Symposium to be held in November. Register your interest at vicheartinstitute@monash.edu to ensure you get the zoom details, to hear six fantastic sessions covering discovery through to biomedical engineering and turning knowledge into meaningful impact.
