A/Prof Monique Kilkenny received a MRFF Cardiovascular Health Mission grant for her work, Love Your Brain: A stroke prevention digital platform

We warmly congratulate Associate Professor Monique Kilkenny, awarded a 2021 MRFF (Medical Research Future Fund) Cardiovascular Health Mission grant. Her work, Love Your Brain: A stroke prevention digital platform, has received $945,000.

“Many Australians experience stroke. There is huge public demand for information about how to stop stroke, which can be met by our “Love Your Brain” digital platform. The platform comprises an online course and messaging system on risk factor management, leveraging an existing Stroke Foundation program,” said Dr Kilkenny.

The team hypothesises that participants will be empowered to see their general practitioner(s) for support on the management of risk factors, and this will in turn increase their knowledge of risk factors and uptake of healthy behaviours.
