Research on prenatal screening recognised

Yvette Raymond receiving the award
Congratulations to Yvette Raymond on achieving third place with an award of $500 in the Monash University Visualise Your Thesis competition!
A MD-PhD student in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Yvette's research pertains to cell-free DNA screening (non-invasive prenatal testing), and the interaction between fetal screening and genetic anomalies of the placenta. It is Yvette and her team's aspiration that through their research they can provide further clarity to families undergoing prenatal screening.
"It's often rare to be given the opportunity to exercise creativity in research, so I was very excited to enter this competition and even more thrilled to have my submission recognised, as drawing/animation has been a longstanding hobby of mine", said Yvette.
