Strengthening Engagement and Achievement in Mathematics and Science - SEAMS

Strengthening Engagement and Achievement in Mathematics and Science (SEAMS) is an exciting opportunity for students to connect, interact, be inspired and discover the possibilities maths and science have to offer.

The program, run in partnership with The University of Melbourne, aims to increase equitable participation and attainment in science and maths in higher education.

Students participate in interactive workshops and academic sessions to prepare them for Year 11 and 12 Maths Methods, Chemistry and Physics subjects.

Eligibility

To be eligible for SEAMS, students must:

  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or holder of an Australian permanent resident or permanent humanitarian visa
  • Be in Year 11 or 12
  • Be studying Maths Methods and Chemistry and/or Physics
  • Be an Indigenous Australian, have a low income, or live in a regional or low socio-economic area
  • Have parent/guardian consent

2025 SEAMS Camp

January 2025 SEAMS Program

The January 2025 camp will be open to new and returning students. Both
camps will be in person, with on-campus accommodation provided for two nights

The University of Melbourne will host year 11 students from Tuesday
14 January - Thursday 16 January.

Monash University will host Year 12 students from Tuesday 21 January - Thursday 23 January. Learn more about the SEAMS camp here.
