Parking changes effective Monday 30 September
Effective from Monday 30 September 2024 (inclusive):
- Parking on Fridays will become free for staff and students at all campuses and off-campus locations in all Blue, and Red parking areas.
- Staff and students must start a CellOPark session to receive free parking on Fridays so we can confirm your vehicle belongs to a staff member or student.
- This adjustment will not apply to Green and Yellow permit holders.
- Staff 28-day permit rates will be reduced from Monday 30 September to account for this weekly change.
- In the event of an infringement, staff and students will receive an additional warning (in Blue and Red permit areas only) in lieu of receiving a fine, totalling two warnings over a 12-month period.
- Students will become eligible to park in Red permit areas from 10am on weekdays (instead of from 10.30am).
The University continues to encourage you to explore sustainable transport options, like carpooling or public transport, particularly during peak parking times.
Looking ahead to 2025, we are assessing more ways to improve parking arrangements, including additional public transport benefits for staff and students, and the introduction of parking prices which align with off-peak campus periods, alongside peak parking times.
