Monash transport experts honoured for breakthrough work in Vietnam
Monash transport engineering researchers, Associate Professor Dong Ngoduy and Professor Hai Vu from the Department of Civil Engineering, have been recognised for their contributions to intelligent transport systems in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Their work, in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, has led to the development of advanced solutions for managing multi-modal transport systems. This includes the implementation of digital twin technologies, AI approaches, and real-time adaptive traffic control strategies. The success of their knowledge-sharing program resulted in a Memorandum of Understanding for further collaboration on transport projects.
