Incorporating climate education in curricula
Monash Rural Health in Gippsland developed a board game, 'Climate Disaster Response: The Game', to educate first-year medical students about sustainability and climate change. The game simulates scenarios where students act as junior doctors in rural or remote communities during high-impact climate events, such as heatwaves and floods. The game has been integrated earlier in the academic term to enhance student engagement and advocacy.

This initiative aims to prepare future health professionals to address the health impacts of climate change, a responsibility highlighted by the WHO-Civil Society Working Group.
