Climate change awareness

In 2024 Monash University actively engaged in climate discussion and education through two key activities: hosting the 'Challenges of the Age: Climate Change' event and participating in the Science Comedy Program.

  • The Challenges of the Age event featured discussions on climate change post-COP28, led by experts including Professor Rebekah Brown and Professor Tony Capon, aiming to drive sustainable change.

  • The Science Comedy Program, involving Dr Kim Reid from the School of Earth Atmosphere and Environment, used humor to make scientific topics more accessible, enhancing public education and awareness about climate change.
