Climate policy analysis

Monash University researchers are contributing to climate action through analysis and reporting on Australian climate policy and subnational climate targets:

• Professor Robert Thomson co-authored a publication analyzing shifts in Australian climate policy over the past decade, highlighting the influence of fossil fuel profits and political lobbying.
• The Climateworks Centre released a report on the progress of Australian states and territories in setting ambitious climate targets, which could inform national goals for 2035, emphasising the importance of collaboration between different levels of government.
