Associate Professor Jacqui Horan trains Solomon Islands’ prosecutors
Associate Professor Jacqui Horan from Monash University's Law Faculty, along with other Monash staff and experts, conducted an intensive training program for prosecutors and police in the Solomon Islands. The program, held in Honiara, focused on improving the prosecution of child sexual abuse cases, addressing challenges such as special interview techniques for children and vulnerable witnesses.
This initiative, funded by the Victorian Bar's International Advocacy Training Committee and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, aimed to enhance legal practices and strengthen the justice system in the Solomon Islands.
