New police pathway offers best of both worlds for criminology students

Monash University, in collaboration with Victoria Police, has launched an innovative Bachelor of Criminology and Policing program. This initiative allows students to simultaneously earn a criminology degree and train to become police officers, addressing the need for educated law enforcement professionals.

The program includes mentorship from both Monash and Victoria Police, enhancing students' understanding of policing and community issues. The first student, Jonathan Bingley, is set to graduate from the Victoria Police Academy, highlighting the program's success in providing a comprehensive education and career pathway.
