Advancing collaborations and strategic partnerships with Chinese institutions

Monash University, represented by Vice-Chancellor Professor Sharon Pickering, hosted a delegation of over 40 presidents and senior leaders from prominent Chinese universities, including Peking University and Renmin University of China. This event, part of the Australia-China University Presidents Forum, aimed to foster dialogue and collaboration in key research areas, strengthening our engagement in the Indo-Pacific region. The University's historical collaboration with China includes the Monash-SEU Joint Graduate School, which has facilitated academic and cultural exchange.

Recent strategic meetings and visits, such as those with the China University of Mining and Technology and Southeast University, highlight Monash University's commitment to international partnerships and research collaboration, particularly in Engineering, Medicine, and the Physical Sciences.
