Two public health researchers awarded prestigious Premier's Awards

Dr Rongbin Xu and Dr Rob Mitchell from the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine at Monash University have been awarded the 2023-24 Premier’s Awards for Health and Medical Research. Dr Xu's research on the health and epigenetic impacts of climate change-related environmental factors earned him the Public Health Researcher Award and the Premier’s Excellence Award. Dr Mitchell received the Health Services Researcher Award for his work on the Interagency Integrated Triage Tool in Pacific emergency departments.

Their research contributes to understanding and addressing public health challenges, particularly in the context of climate change and emergency care in low and middle-income countries.
