Victoria leading the fight against childhood cancer
Monash University, through its Department of Paediatrics, is part of the Victorian Paediatric Cancer Consortium Limited (VPCC), a new collaboration aimed at combating childhood cancer. The consortium, supported by significant investments from the government and the Children's Cancer Foundation, brings together leading institutions to advance research and treatment in paediatric oncology.
The VPCC will focus on developing safer therapies, clinical trial programs, and a survivorship program, while also training the next generation of paediatric cancer clinician scientists. This initiative is part of Victoria's broader efforts to establish itself as a global leader in medical research.
