Community of Practice

Monash's Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Community of Practice (CoP) is open to Monash students and staff at Australian and International campuses. Those joining the Community of Practice should have an interest in exploring a range of topics that relate to furthering equity, diversity and inclusion. Being a part of this CoP is an opportunity to learn from peers and contribute to conversations that will inform the projects, actions plans and activities undertaken by the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion team at Monash.

The Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Community of Practice at Monash seeks to:

• Further the goal of stronger more collaborative partnerships across the University, and enhanced community knowledge, as committed to in the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Framework.
• Share knowledge, best practice, research and lived experiences in a safe and supportive environment with the view to expanding the understanding and capacity of other Community of Practice members.
• Be a safe and supportive space for members of the Monash community to pitch ideas, discuss challenges and workshop solutions using the collective knowledge, skills and lived experience of the members of the Community of Practice.
• Build a sense of belonging in the Monash community.
• Allow members to build a shared set of resources, knowledge and skills which they can take back to their work or study.
• Support the fulfilment of the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Framework and the supporting enabling plan and monitoring and evaluation.
